Russell holds a degree in Carpentry Construction Technology and has spent more than four decades with his hands on the work — the last twenty-plus of them alongside New Jersey's builders, architects, and contractors, who know him for craftsmanship, integrity, and reliable leadership.
In September 2000 he opened Heard Woodworking in Chatham with one mission: build truly custom, handmade cabinetry with care, patience, and real craftsmanship. Twenty-five years later, the mission hasn't moved an inch — and Russell is still in the shop, not behind a desk.
The crew is small and deliberate: long-tenured installation specialists who have worked with Russell for years. The people who build your piece are the people who fit it into your home.
